POUND  CAKE

This recipe has been in the Shoecraft family for many years.  It is so much
better, if you make it with real butter---

1/2   pound of butter
2    cups of sugar

Beat together untill light and fluffy--

Add   5   eggs, one at a time,  beating  well after each addition--

2  cups sifted cake flour---beat into the above--add--
1 tsp. vanilla

Bake in lightly buttered  angel food cake pan  for one hour at 350 degrees--
Cool in pan
